Carolyn Sue Denker, daughter of the late Varion and Emily Newcomb, was born on April 26, 1941 in Capitol Hill, Oklahoma. She attended Capitol Hill Public Schools and was a graduate of Central State University where she received her Master’s Degree in Education. Carolyn taught for 30 years at the Elementary level in the Choctaw-Nicoma Park School District where she touched the lives of each of her students. She loved making made-by-hand cards for all occasions, sewing, creating unique gift boxes out of anything, and most of all spoiling her two grandchildren. She was a member of Sherwood Baptist Church in Newcastle.
Carolyn quietly departed this life to be with her Lord, Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at her home.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father. Carolyn is survived by her husband, Everett Dwaine Denker; son, Aaron David Denker and wife Crystal; two grandchildren, Grant and Sydney; brother, Allen Newcomb and wife Marilee, and a host of cousins and friends.
