Caleb Joseph Forrest

January 27, 1989 ~ May 31, 2017 (age 28) 28 Years Old
After a life well lived Caleb Forrest 28, a cherished husband, father, son, brother and grandson went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, May 31, 2017. Caleb bravely fought his battle with brain cancer and after 5 years he won his crown. He was a natural born leader, never negative, strong, positive, funny, grateful, cared about people, but most of all he loved his family. He and Tristin Basden were married on August 16, 2009. Caleb had a great trust in God and knew everything was going to be alright. He was a great connector of people and he inspired everyone to believe in the impossible. Caleb enjoyed making cookies every Christmas Eve and watching Elf as well as taking his family to the Festival of Lights in Yukon. He loved the 4th of July, it was his holiday! He worked for six years and did great things in his career with Verizon. He was an amazing husband and father. He loved playing music for His Savior in the worship band for Life Church at the South campus. Left to cherish his memory are his wife Tristin, his two children; Everett and Arden all of the home, his father Joe and his wife Regan, his mother Cindy, two brothers Tanner Forrest and Taylor Forrest, one sister Tiara Snodgrass and her husband Cotton, step sister Sydney Spiva, grandmother; Rosemary Mellas, grandparents; Gilbert and Barbara Forrest, mother in law; Cherise Braggs as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, a niece and nephew as well as a host of friends. He is preceded in death by his grandfather Edward Mellas. The family wishes to say a very special Thank You for all the medical support to Dr. Michael Sughrue, Dr. James Battiste, the entire staff and nurses of the OU Medical Center, Stephenson Cancer Center and the nursing staff of the Integris Hospice House. The support from Verizon, his fellow coworkers and customers have meant so very much to the family. A Celebration of Caleb’s life will be held at 3 o’clock in the afternoon on Monday, June 5, 2017 at the South Campus of Life Church. A reception will follow with food and fellowship at Caleb’s father’s home 3609 Harris Drive, Edmond, OK 73013.
