Barbara “Janelle” Price left her earthly home May 23, 2017. She was born May 28, 1937 in Hugo, OK to Forrest and Vera (Chapman) Hendrick.

Known for her love of dancing, Janelle taught line dancing at the Moore Community Center and became involved with the Oklahoma Seniors’ Cabaret. She performed with the group multiple days a week at various nursing homes, and would also perform at the State Fair of Oklahoma. She also loved to ride motorcycles with her husband, Robert until his death in 1991. At one time, Janelle and Robert were proud to serve as President and Vice President of the Capital City Riders Motorcycle Club in Oklahoma City. Janelle also enjoyed crafting; making baskets and wreaths that she would sell at Affair of the Heart, and sewing costumes for her Cabaret group.

Janelle was preceded in death by her parents; and husband of 38 years, Robert E. Price.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory: son, Jeff Price and wife Karen of McAlester, OK; brother, Forrest John Hendrick and wife Lynda of Fort Worth, TX; sister, Gaye Hope and husband Bob of Edmond, OK; grandson, Jason Price and wife Delta; step-grandchildren: Andrea Green and husband Chad, Rachel Oswald and husband Mark, and Bryan Hammers; great grandchildren: Nate and Liberty Price; step great grandchildren: Karlie and Natalie Beshears; numerous nieces and nephews; her “life savers” and close personal friends: Frances Brown and Pat Jimboy; and her caring neighbors who helped her tremendously over the past few years.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you consider donating to the Oklahoma Seniors’ Cabaret in her honor.

A celebration of Janelle’s life will be held 10am Friday, May 26 in the Chapel at Resthaven.
