Adelene Mae Brown, 86, left her earthly home February 16, 2017. She was born July 11, 1930 in Wister, Ok to Ira and Naoma (McKay) Williams. Growing up, Adelene attended Glendale Schools. She was married to James Brown for 57 years until his death in 2007. Although she never drove, she enjoyed taking trips to visit different casinos with her husband and her friends. She was affectionately known for cooking her famous “Mom’s Stuffing” during the holidays and loved playing card games and dominos with her family. She could also be found watching Wheel of Fortune or working at a crossword or word search puzzle in her free time.

Adelene was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband, James Brown; sisters, Ruth Hubbard and Frances Kerr; brothers, Joe Williams and Dale Williams; granddaughters, Lori Brown and Lisa Teel; great grandson, Chase Jones; and son in law, Gary Teel.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, children: Larry Brown and wife Judy, Gary Brown, Jo Ann Beverage, Linda Thompson, Terry Brown and wife Linda, Sherry Kinsey and husband Darrell, and Bill Brown; 10 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; brother, Harvey Williams; and sister, Helen Huckaby.

Visitation will be held Monday from 12pm-8pm. A celebration of Adelene’s life will be held 2pm Tuesday in the Chapel at Resthaven
